About Siôn

I stepped up early.
Then I learned how.

I’m a leadership coach for people stepping into a bigger role. Before that, I spent ten years leading teams and six building a business, and learned the hard way what stepping up asks of you.

Why this work

80% and 130.

By 28 I was an Account Director with a team of nine. I held on to the work. Briefing it properly felt slower, and if it went wrong it would come back to me anyway.

My team ran at 80%. I ran at 130. I mean hours. They closed their laptops at five and had been twiddling their thumbs since half four. I closed mine at seven, went home, had dinner and opened it again at nine.

Underneath it was a question I could not settle. Had the people who promoted me seen something real?

Coaching did not give me more hours. It showed me where they were going.

I accepted that some briefs would come back at 80% of what I would have done. In return I got my day back and got out of the weeds. My team got the work that would make them better.

That trade is the job. It is the work I do now, one-to-one, with people in the first year of a bigger role.

Away from work

Family, connection, adventure.

Husband to Victoria. Dad to Margot.

We live in Chamonix, exploring the mountains with friends on two wheels, two feet and two skis. Family life is the best reminder I know that the week only holds so much.
